Obviously {ootd}'s!

This post is all of the ootd's that I haven't got around to posting yet! This first one is my favorite! It was my last day of school outfit, and let me just say walking in heels is my cardio! Ha
(Me with my two pals Emily and Bailey)
I'm loving the crop top+midi skirt look, and if you add a pair of ankle strap heels it's just icing on the cake! The skirt flows amazingly, and the whole outfit is almost comfy! Links Below

Morning Rituals!

There are two types of people in this world, morning people and then the others. I am a morning person, but my little sister is definitely not, so I kind of have a perspective of both sides. Before I go to bed I set three alarms because it takes time in the morning to get ready for the day, and my school starts at 8! I set one alarm for 6:20, and when it goes off I silence it right away, then my next one goes off at 6:25, and I turn my bedside lamp on and lay back down, then on my final alarm at 6:30 I have no choice but to get up! The first thing I do is get on my work-out clothes, because me and my mom like to go jogging in the morning. It really helps your day get started off well! Then I pick out my outfit, and get dressed! Once I know what I'm wearing I go into my bathroom and brush out my atrociously tangled hair and style it to go with my outfit. By this time I'm starving! I try to be as healthy of a eater as I can be so my breakfast will usually consist of either fresh produce, yogurt, granola, eggs, or a good breakfast bar! On days when I have a hard time waking up I drink hot tea, or coffee with my meal. By now it's probably about time to leave for school, so I pack up my backpack and I'm off! I hope you've liked this post and can realate, tell me what your morning routine is like in a comment below! Until next time, xoxo- Olivia

April's Absolute Must Haves!

Happy April, my loves! Today's post list's everything a girl needs to survive the beautiful month of April! April is known to be very rainy, although the rain limits some outfit options, I decide to embrace it. So, that being said, the fist needs are a cute pair of rain-boots and a fashionable umbrella! Here are the ones I suggest and the links below!
Clear Bubble Umbrella
KS Reading Glasses Umbrella
Classic Hunter Rain Boots

And here's me in my rainy/lazy day attire! With my B&W umbrella handy!

Now the next need for April is a refreshing spring perfume! The flowers are starting to bloom and smell glorious, so why not you too? Try not to let winter perfume linger into spring, spray on fresh, flowery smells. They are always perfect for the spring. My favorite right now is Old Hollywood by Michael Kors! It smells like white gardenias. I love love love it!
The third item on this checklist is snazzy workout gear. Let's all be honest, the winter has made our beach bodies slowly disappear, so now we must gain them back! I don't know about you guys but I'm more motivated when my athletic wear is matching and stylish! Haha! Here are some fun pieces and the links below!

Cropped mesh tank
Work-out pants

The next one is not technically a "must have," I just kind of think it's a fun piece to transition into spring. Saying that, the next item on the list is a romper or a jumpsuit! They are really no hassle, you can just throw one on and go anywhere! Here are my favorites and the links of course!

Tailored powder blue playsuit
Floral jumpsuit
Light pink romper

Well, that's it for this list! I hope you find it handy and have a very happy April! Until next time, xoxo- Olivia

My Desk! (Where You Work Linkup)

Well, I saw that a lot of blogs have contributed in this "where you work" linkup, so I thought I would join in too, by showing you guys my desk! My desk is a very important area in my bedroom. It serves as a place to express my creativity when I'm sketching and blogging, but it also is a place to do my torturous homework. Here it is!

     Overview: #showuswhereyouwork

Inspiration Board: Where I put up all of my sketches and anything else that gets my creativity going!

Golden Tray: Where I keep my paper clips, pencils, journals, vintage clock, sticky notes, a deck of cards, and a marshmellow scented candle! (yummm)

I hope you've liked my desk, and I look forward to seeing your's! Until next time, xoxo- Olivia

{ootd} 3/30/14

Today's {ootd} was actually just a last minute outfit. On some days I want to look nice, but don't have all the time in the world to do something extravagant, so I just went with three colors and basic accessories. Let's go from top to bottom! On top of my head I have a headband that I saw in Nordstrom and immediately recognized it as one Blair in Gossip Girl (my favorite show) wore, so DUH I had to buy it! Then my top is cream with black dots and is a sleeveless tie front, that I bought in Forever 21. The weather is a little chilly here, so I added in my Jcrew green cardigan and my basic black tights. My skirt is actually from Gap Kids! Haha! The sizes there go all the way up to a 14, and since I'm a little slender in the waist, sometimes they actually fit my better than the XS at regular Gap. My shoes and bag go along with the cream in the shirt and stand out against the black. And here's where to get it all, or the closest thing to them! Until next time, xoxo- Olivia

Lets Talk Spring Shopping!

Spring is the time of year to clean out your closet, take unwanted clothes to goodwill, box up all the warm winter coats, and give yourself a clean slate for spring. Once you have built up a closet with all your basics it's time for a little shopping for your wow pieces. In this post I'm going to be sharing my spring essentials and wants.
Lets start with the necessities! The first thing every girl needs for spring is a good pair of white jeans. Here are some great pairs in different fits!

     - High waist and flare leg
     - Toothpick
     - Boyfriend
The next need is either cute wedges or sandals. For sandals and wedges I would go with neutral colors because most likely you are going to be flaunting around in them quite often, and you'll want a color that really goes with anything. So, here are a few of my favorites!

     - Nude crisscross wedges
     - Leather sandals
     - Chic peep-toe wedge in champagne
     - Bone T-strap sandal
The third necessity is of course a great bag. I would recommend a fun tote or cross body. Be spontaneous and go with a pastel or bright colored purse! The links below are my handbag wishes, and hopefully yours for this spring!

     - Magenta cross body
     - Mint tote
     - Beach bag
     - In-side-out pocket bag in lavender
Last but not least, this need is something everyone loves to look beautiful in, it's a floral dress! Yes, some people may not qualify it as a need, but in my books it's absolutely essential! It's what you can throw on for Sunday mornings or a lunch date with no hassle. Here they are!

     Tropical cut out dress
     - Lace over floral
     - Short sleeve skater
     - Lilly maxi
Now that we have all the necessities out of the way we can move on to the wow pieces or wants! This is where you can really show off your personal style and try something new. Here are some of the pieces I'm taking a chance on this spring!
     - Polka-dot popover
     - Mint crystal bib
     - Pink pleats
     - Clear cap toe heels
     - Denim overalls

Celebrate spring and make sure to vote in my poll! Until next time, xoxo-Olivia
