{ootd} 3/30/14

Today's {ootd} was actually just a last minute outfit. On some days I want to look nice, but don't have all the time in the world to do something extravagant, so I just went with three colors and basic accessories. Let's go from top to bottom! On top of my head I have a headband that I saw in Nordstrom and immediately recognized it as one Blair in Gossip Girl (my favorite show) wore, so DUH I had to buy it! Then my top is cream with black dots and is a sleeveless tie front, that I bought in Forever 21. The weather is a little chilly here, so I added in my Jcrew green cardigan and my basic black tights. My skirt is actually from Gap Kids! Haha! The sizes there go all the way up to a 14, and since I'm a little slender in the waist, sometimes they actually fit my better than the XS at regular Gap. My shoes and bag go along with the cream in the shirt and stand out against the black. And here's where to get it all, or the closest thing to them! Until next time, xoxo- Olivia

Lets Talk Spring Shopping!

Spring is the time of year to clean out your closet, take unwanted clothes to goodwill, box up all the warm winter coats, and give yourself a clean slate for spring. Once you have built up a closet with all your basics it's time for a little shopping for your wow pieces. In this post I'm going to be sharing my spring essentials and wants.
Lets start with the necessities! The first thing every girl needs for spring is a good pair of white jeans. Here are some great pairs in different fits!

     - High waist and flare leg
     - Toothpick
     - Boyfriend
The next need is either cute wedges or sandals. For sandals and wedges I would go with neutral colors because most likely you are going to be flaunting around in them quite often, and you'll want a color that really goes with anything. So, here are a few of my favorites!

     - Nude crisscross wedges
     - Leather sandals
     - Chic peep-toe wedge in champagne
     - Bone T-strap sandal
The third necessity is of course a great bag. I would recommend a fun tote or cross body. Be spontaneous and go with a pastel or bright colored purse! The links below are my handbag wishes, and hopefully yours for this spring!

     - Magenta cross body
     - Mint tote
     - Beach bag
     - In-side-out pocket bag in lavender
Last but not least, this need is something everyone loves to look beautiful in, it's a floral dress! Yes, some people may not qualify it as a need, but in my books it's absolutely essential! It's what you can throw on for Sunday mornings or a lunch date with no hassle. Here they are!

     Tropical cut out dress
     - Lace over floral
     - Short sleeve skater
     - Lilly maxi
Now that we have all the necessities out of the way we can move on to the wow pieces or wants! This is where you can really show off your personal style and try something new. Here are some of the pieces I'm taking a chance on this spring!
     - Polka-dot popover
     - Mint crystal bib
     - Pink pleats
     - Clear cap toe heels
     - Denim overalls

Celebrate spring and make sure to vote in my poll! Until next time, xoxo-Olivia

Journals, Planners, and Notebooks, Oh My!

Hello loves! There are so many notebooks/planners/journals in my life now I almost loose track of whats for what. That is why in this article I'm writing about how to organize all your little books, and where to buy the cutest ones! I keep an agenda, a dream journal, a notebook about my day, and a goal journal. In my agenda I write down all my due dates for assignments, and  any important  events. If I want to get real fancy with it I'll color coordinate the assignments to my classes. For example blue- Alg.2 pink- English green- Biology. To make it fun though I doodle little sketches to match with my event or assignment! In my dream journal it's a little here or there because I can't remember my dreams sometimes, so if I do remember one I write it down ASAP and date it. My notebook about my day is pretty self-explanatory, pretty much all I do is write down interesting things that happened to me throughout the day! Sometimes I'll jot down a few sentences and other times I'll write pages. My goal journal is where I write about all my hopes and dreams. It's where I put my bucket list, dream college, career, home, and anything else my heart desires. Now here's where to buy the cutest ones!

And here is a peak into my own planner!
( Sorry it's not too neat ) Plus a look at my many other notebooks.

I hope this helps you if you have a journal hoarding problem like me! Haha! Until next time, xoxo- Olivia

{ootd} 3/17/14

Bonjour loves, I have a new outfit post for you! This {ootd} is just a happy spring look! I went bold with the colors for this look, because I just recently bought this cute little headband and wanted to base an outfit off of it's colors. The flowers that are on it are royal blue (which is why I choose my skirt), and neon pink (which is why I paired my skirt with the pink skinny belt). There are more fun colors on it, but I can't be a walking rainbow, so I just went with B&W for the rest of my look! I posted links as to where you can buy these pieces, but unfortunately the shirt is no longer available. I hope you like all of the other items though! Until next time, xoxo- Olivia

My First Post and it's All About Me!

Hello my loves, my name is Olivia Ericson, I'm fifteen, and fashion is my love. I am a sophmore in high school and an aspiring fashion designer. I would describe my style as chic, classic, eclectic, fun, and a little preppy at times. My favorite stores/designers are Kate Spade, Jcrew, Chanel, Burberry, Alice+Olivia, and Anthropologie, but since I'm not a millionaire, you'll usally find me at Forever 21, ASOS, H&M, Jcrew Factory, Target, Old Navy, Kate Spade Saturday, and Gap! My fashion icons are Blair Waldorf (from my absolute favorite show Gossip Girl), Olivia Palermo, Atlantic Pacific, and Jade Scott. I will be posting ootd's, and fun fashion articles as much as I can! I hope you'll enjoy my blog as much as I'm going to! Until next time, xoxo -Olivia
